Arnout van Alberda is a Dutch painter, who specializes in still lives. But they're not just 'still lives'  as I know them from the book or the art gallery. These have a little twist on them. I'd never thought that a piece of meat would make such a fun painting and yet looks like an old Dutch master piece.
'Arnout van Alberda (1968) was educated at the Academie Minerva in Groningen, The Netherlands. Precise observation and craftsmanship play a central role in his work. At first sight, his paintings seem to be painted very fine. At a closer look, it applies that some details are left out. The suggestion is most important.' (vanalbada.nl)

All paintings are oil paint on masonite.
