Paper art by Nathalie Boutté

Nathalie Boutté makes paper art. I was caught by these detailed images, which show the technique of using small paper strips, color by color, layer by layer. The closer you look, the more fascinating. Read more about her work here.




I was wondering if you could do it yourself too, using a picture that is transformed into pixels as base. Probably yes, but it would mean a lot of work (you have to think three steps ahead, as you use long paper strips, of which you can only see the last centimeter) and long preparation time (cutting al those strips and giving them the right color)! Let's just admire these ones :).
